Report on Abigail Adams

I am reading Abigail Adams by Natalie S. Bober, for school.  I am enjoying this book.  This is what I have learned so far.

Abigail Smith was born on November 11, 1744. Her mother and father were Elizabeth Quincy Smith and William Smith.

They lived in Weymouth, Massachusetts, 10 miles from Boston. Weymouth was the first community in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.

Mary was 14, Abigail was 10, and Betsy was only 5, and they liked to hear news about the French and Indian War especially about a brave young man, name George Washington. They liked to read books. Their mother did not let them go to school, but their father taught them to read and write.

More to come….
